Tips/Suggestions On How To Decorate A Home

cow hide home interiorDecorating a home is one of the most exciting things to do. You got to decide what furniture to add, color to choose, etc etc.. And the best thing is that the outcome of your work reflects your own personality and attitude. So its very important to work on it properly. Depending on your own preference and style, here are some general rules to apply.

-Make Use of the Wallpapers. The fastest and probably the most easiest way to decorate is by using wallpapers. Choose a color that would make a room brighter. The right wallpaper makes a huge difference.

-Pile On the Pillows. One pair of pillows always looks skimpy. Use two pairs, in contrasting patterns, colors, and textures.

-Prefer a Bigger Bed Over a Small One. Small-scale furniture only makes a small bedroom look smaller. Try a high bed and a tall
headboard. Your room will grow.

-Leave Your Cabinets Open. Let people into your secret world. An open cabinet is more interesting to look at than a closed one.

-A Rug Over a Mat. Prefer a real rug in the bathroom instead of a bath mat. It was made to withstand a lot more wear than the occasional wet foot.

-Skip The Sofa. There’s no rule that says there has to be a sofa in the living room. Skipping it is just as fine. If you have a large enough room, put them in the center away from the walls.

-White works. You’ll never get tired of a white living room. Aside from the fact that white makes a clean and homey atmosphere, you easily match furniture and decors on a white background.

-Make Use of the Indoor Plants. Potted plants cheer up a lonely corner as it helps lighten the atmosphere, literally.

-Layer Your Lighting. Four lamps are better than two. You need ambient light for mood just as you need direct light for reading.

-Kick Your Traditional Coffee Table to the Curb. The most versatile coffee table you’ll ever own is an ottoman topped with a tray.

-Dress up your furniture. A skirted furniture looks even better than seeing all those furniture legs. A skirted piece or two will make it feel “grounded.”

-Switch Up Your Seating. Mix up the seating at your dining table. You wouldn’t have eight identical chairs in your living area.

-Refinish Vintage Furniture. Try painting a vintage piece. Every piece of furniture can’t be brown.

Reasons Why Cowhide Is The More Preferred Leather

Cowhide is a good choice for home interior because of its versatility. Aside from the fact that cowhide is an excellent use for rugs as they are soft and comfortable, as well as gives warmth during cold days, it can be used as an awesome wall hanging too.

It is an ideal rug to use in high traffic areas such as a family room, because the natural hide is extremely durable. Though its a given that a leather is pretty tough, cowhides thickness adds strength.

The cow skin will not shed or wear thin from extended use. The cowskin is also great for rooms which have hard floor surfaces because it creates a barrier between the surface of the floor and bare feet. This barrier creates warmth and comfort for the floor which also benefits the utility usage of the home.

Another advantage of choosing a leather is that it is low maintenance. Any stains or marks simply wipe away with a damp rag. Dust and other solid particles can simply be vacuumed or by bringing the rug outside and shake off to remove any particles.

Qualities of cowhide rugs that appeal to owners include their natural beauty and their versatility, their hypo-allergenic characteristics, easy maintenance and ability to last for years.

Tips On How To Clean A Leather Rug The Proper Way

A rug is a good addition to your home interior. It provides warmth and comfort during cold days. A leather rug on the other hand can be a heirloom to your family. It is a treasure particularly if its made from the highest quality. Keeping it clean though can be a bit tricky especially  if you have kids or pets at home.

When you only have to remove dust and other solid particles on the rug, you have two options. One is using a vacuum cleaner with a soft-bristle brush attached at the end. Gently vaccum the rug by going with the grain of hair. Dont go against them.

Another way is by using the conventional way of carrying your rug outside and gently shake loose any dust that has collected. It is better to get the help of another person if the rug is too heavy. By shaking the rug, you’re giving it the chance to breathe.

When your leather rug has been spilled accidentally, all you have to do is take a damp cloth and a squirt of mild soap on your cloth and gently stroke following the grain of hair and not against it. Once the spill is cleaned, rinse the cloth then go over the spill several times until
all the soap is removed. Air dry the affected area by placing books or other objects underneath.

Lastly, apply a leather conditioner to keep the fabric supple and restore its luster.

It is important to remember to never dry clean your leather rug particularly if its made out of cowhide. Keep the rug out of direct sunlight. And do not use harsh chemicals, only natural soap.

Learn How To Braid Your Hair In 3 Different Ways

For girls with longer braid, it is always both a challenge and fun to style their hair and show it off to their peers. I know a lot of people already knew these methods of  hair styling but for the sake of those who doesn’t know yet. Here are 3 ways to braid your hair.

1. Traditional Braid

Brush your hair first until it doesn’t tangled anymore. Decide whether you want to braid it sideward or straight down the middle. Grab the hair at the base of your skull and divide it into 3 sections. Hold a section of your hair with your right hand, a section of hair with your left hand and leave the center section lying on your head. Grab the left most section with the index finger on your right hand. Twist the left section over the center section. Repeat til you reach the end of your hair and tie it with a nice ribbon.

2. French Braid

French Braid is a lot more complicated than the traditional one simply because it has to start at the top of your head. First, pick a section of your hair and split it into 3. Cross the right section over the center, followed by the left section just like in traditional braid. The difference is you have to pick up a small section from either of your sides depending on which one you’re braiding and add it as you move along.

3. Fishtail Braid

Fishtail Braid on the other hand looks like a traditional braid but this braid has more sections than a French braid or traditional braid. Learn the Full Tutorial Here
